All hire cars come with air-con as standard. They also have full insurance, unlimited mileage and third party cover. Extra drivers are free of charge. Remember, that in Thailand, it is the car that is insured, not the driver. All our vehicles are automatic, except the single cab pickups.

Chiang Mai, also known as Chiengmai, is Thailand's second largest city.

It is in the cooler North of Thailand. Hiring a car is pretty much essential, as it is surrounded by fantastic mountain ranges.

The city was founded in 1296 and is divided into the old and new cities. The old charming city is surrounded by walls and moats which were built to protect against the invading Burmese.

After a your flight to Chiang Mai, we can arrange to have your rental car delivered to your hotel, or condo. This will be a free service within the city, but fees will apply if the hire car is delivered or collected in the Thailand countryside.

After parking your hire car, we would advise buying a local guide book, to help you navigate the many historic buildings and monuments.

The nightlife is varied, with many good Thai restaurants. In particular, go to the restaurants along the river. Many have live bands. If you are looking for something different, you can try Muay Thai boxing, yoga or meditation.

Take your SUV rental and visit the local hill tribes, who are famous for their colourful and exotic costumes and adornments. They can be seen in the city, but a trip to one of the villages is well worth it. Please note, that if you go off the main roads, e.g down dirt tracks, you could be liable for damage to a wheel, or the underside of your car.

For shopping go to the famous night bazaar. It is famous for handicrafts and art. Best buys are local goods, in particular, Thai silk.

For the fit or more adventuress, try trekking. This can be arranged locally. Bring warm clothing and good quality trekking boots.
