About Hua Hin

Hua Hin is one of Thailand most famous resorts. Hua Hin is a small fishing village with a royal connection. After driving your hire car from Bangkok, just relax and enjoy the peace and calm of this charming resort. In the 1920's, the director of the state railways built the now historic Railway Hotel, close to the beach.

King Rama VII visited and fell in love with the tranquility and peacefulness. He built a summer palace called Wang Klai Kang Won, which translates to Far From Worries. The palace is now the main residency of the current, revered King of Thailand.

Remember to put your golf clubs in the boot of your hire car. Since the first golf course was built in Hua Hin, you can now tee off from eight courses within a 30km radius. Green fees are reasonable, even at the Royal Hua Hin course. Fishing, sailing and yachting are all available and can be booked in any of the beach hotels.

Try diving and snorkeling at Koh Talu. In the evening, leave you hire car at home, and go for a bit of shopping, by strolling through the night market on Dechanuchit Street. It has lots of small stalls and large shops offering top class Thai crafts.

Many shops offer quality cutlery, which Thailand is famed for. As usual it is best to read the pamphlets that will be available in your hotel. A hire car in Hua Hin will allow you to visit the surrounding countryside and day spas.

About Hua Hin & Airport

By air with Thai Airways, with daily flights from Bangkok. By car rental, which we can arrange to be waiting for you outside arrivals, or have your hire car delivered to hotel. We also offer a chauffeur service and a transfer service from Bangkok. A chauffeur driven car rental, or mini van hire, can be arranged to transport you to your holiday resort.

Hua Hin can be reached by rental car from Bangkok downtown, or the airport in less than 3 hours. Sat Nav/GPS is now available to help you navigate from Bangkok to Hua Hin. When hiring a car, you have three choices as to where you will collect the rental vehicle; the downtown depot, the airport or your hotel/condo.

Budget have their depot at Grand Hotel & Plaza on Petchkasem Rd, whereas the depot for Thai Rent A Car is at Villa Market, Shop A6 on the same road.

Both car hire companies will deliver cars to the Hua Hin Airport. Flight details and mobile phone needed, to ensure you collect you rental car on time. You can have your hire car delivered to your Hua Hin hotel during office hours. Any extra fee will depend on how far your hotel, condo or apartment is from the depot.
