Korat Car Hire

The town is also know as Nakorn Ratchasima, and is the main town on the way to the north-east and Isan. The name is also given to a well known breed of domestic cat.

Going back a few hundred years, the town used to be on the border with Laos.

Korat Delivery -
Free if within fifteen kilometres of a depot. Budget have the widest range of depots throughout Thailand and cars can delivered nearly anywhere, but fees apply.

Excess Damage - Only Budget and Hertz offer Zero Excess with both Sixt and Thai Rent now having an excess, that can be reduced to zero by paying extra insurance locally.

One ways in Thailand are usually free, depot to depot, but sometimes fees may apply depending on car hire supplier, length of trip and start and finish point.

Budget are usually best for one ways, if rental over 3 days then no charge, followed by Hertz at 5 days needed. Sixt are now charging fees of between THB2,500 and THB10,000 for a one way, regardless of length of rental. Thai Rent are free if over 7 days.

The North of Thailand
See the hill tribes of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, but take care when going off road, as insurance can be invalidated if damage to the underside of the vehicle.
