Some Scenic San Remo Routes
Start your drive in central San Remo, passing the old town of La Pigna with its narrow streets and medieval charm. Head east along the coast on the SS1 road, also known as Via Aurelia, which hugs the Ligurian Sea and offers views of beaches, cliffs, and pastel-colored villages.
Continue toward Bussana Vecchia, a restored artist village built on the ruins of an old town destroyed by an earthquake. The road climbs gently and reveals panoramic views of the sea and surrounding hills.
From there, drive inland toward Taggia and Badalucco, following the SP548 road through the Argentina Valley. This route winds through olive groves, stone bridges, and quiet villages, perfect for a peaceful countryside escape.
Loop back toward San Remo via Ceriana, a hilltop village with narrow lanes and traditional architecture. The road descends through forested slopes and reconnects with the coast.
