See the hill tribes of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, but take care when going off road, as insurance can be invalidated if damage to the underside of the vehicle.

Phuket Most tourists head for Patong Beach where Budget & National are the only supplier to have a depot other than at the airport, so the others deliver for a fee. Vehicles can be delivered around the island. Kata Beach is a quieter option.

Pattaya If heading for Beach Road, Walking Street, or the quieter Jomtien, then Budget are best if want leave car when get there. Days on the local islands are well worth it. The Natural Beach Hotel by the sea, is handily placed and quiet.

Koh Samui - Get a Toyota Vigo, Single or Double Cab to explore the island from either the depot at Koh Samui Airport or later at Chaweng Beach.
