About Murcia & San Javier Airport

Murcia Airport is quite some way away from the town of Murcia, and involves a thirty mile trip if staying in Murcia.

It is actually nearer to the town of San Javier, but is the ideal landing point if going to play golf at La Manga. It is also handy for Cartagena and Torrevieja. You could also use the airport for Alicante, if you wanted a long scenic drive through the mountains.

If travelling independently, your only realistic options are to either hire a car, or go by taxi. The bus services are infrequent and the nearest train station is some 10 kilometres away.

Car parking at Murcia Airport is limited with maximum of 200 spaces. The parking is no longer free. If dropping off or collecting a passenger, please follow signs to the reserved area, located just outside the terminal entrance.
