About Bordeaux Airport

Bordeaux Airport is located in the town of Marignac, just six miles west of Bordeaux. Bordeaux's gleaming International Airport acts as the gateway to the south west of France.

The airport has two main terminals, A and B, which are connected by indoor walkways. Airport information desks are conveniently located in both terminals.

Bordeaux

The name Bordeaux conjures up images of red wine. Whilst this is an important aspect to this region, the Bordeaux area has a lot more to offer than vineyards and good wine. Bordeaux inhabitants are easy going, and enjoy long relaxed lunches.

There is a wide choice of chateaus and vineyards to visit. The more famous ones are Medoc and St Emilion. The vineyards are beautiful, and slope towards the estuary. Very picturesque.

Every tried surfing? Visit Lacanau, just an hours drive by car from Bordeaux and the home town to French surfing. After a day touring by hire car why not take in a play or an opera at Bordeaux's famed Grand Theatre.

No trip to Bordeaux is complete with at least a one day trip to one of the famous vineyards. They are home to world famous grape varieties, that include Medoc, St.Emilion and Graves. You can either visit by rental car if you have a tea lover or driver or failing that you can book a local guided tour.
