Geneva Airport, France Side

Although in Switzerland, the airport is on the French border and so has a French side, that enables passengers to enter or leave France, without having to enter into Swiss territory and pay tolls. To enter into France, turn left just in front of passport control and follow signs to the French sector.

Geneva Airport passenger traffic is expected to reach or exceed 14.5 million passengers by 2020. Currently the airport connects to over 100 destinations worldwide. All major airlines operate here, with over 50 scheduled airlines doing over a thousand departures a week and several hundred charter airlines also fly in here. Passengers coming from France by land must check in via the France sector.

Geneva Airport is just three miles from the city of Geneva. Both French and Swiss sectors are housed under the one large terminal building.

Geneva Airport is ideally situated for both the Austrian, Swiss and French ski resorts and is only a two hour drive from Italy. The airport business centre, Skycom, will assist with meetings offering phone, internet, meeting rooms and fax services, but please book in advance.

Geneva railway station is conveniently located just 300m from the Departures and Arrivals floors. All trains will stop in Geneva where one can connect to other destination in Switzerland and Europe.

Going to your ski resort by train, is a throwback to the old days of travel. If going to Zermatt by car, then remember your last bit of the journey is going to be by train.
