Although in Switzerland, the airport is on the French border and so has a French side, that enables passengers to enter or leave France, without having to enter into Swiss territory and pay tolls. Geneva Airport passenger traffic is expected to reach or exceed 14.5 million passengers by 2020. Currently the airport connects to over 100 destinations worldwide. Passengers coming from France by land must check in via the France sector.
