The Balearic Islands
The Balearics consist of Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca, where all islands offer a mixture of beaches, night life, quite villages, beautiful landscapes, mountains and all of them should be on your itinerary.
Nice Drives in the Balearics
Mallorca - Drive from Valldemossa to Soller through the Tramuntana mountains. This winding route offers dramatic views of cliffs, olive groves, and stone villages like Deia. End in Soller with its historic tram and seaside port.
Menorca - Drive from Ciutadella to Cap de Cavalleria. This route passes through quiet countryside, red sand beaches like Cala Pregonda, and ends at the lighthouse with panoramic sea views and a nearby eco museum.
Ibiza - Drive from San Antonio to Cala d'Hort. The road hugs the west coast and leads to the Es Vedra viewpoint, one of the most iconic sights on the island. Stop at Cala Tarida and finish with sunset at Cala d'Hort beach.
San Antonio is the capital of this heady island, that has a reputation for it's nightlife. However Ibiza does also offer an ideal holiday for the less lively among us, as many a quiet beach resort.

Book your next Balearic holiday auto rental at any of Ibiza, Palma or Mahon Airports, at a lower price, and save on hiring costs for either a convertible car, MPV, Minivan or SUV.
Majorca
Rent a holiday auto at
Palma Airport and drive yourself to say, Magaluf or Palma Nova. Then pop back later to Palma and wander around the old town. Take in the cathedral, town square and dawdle along the side streets for some shopping.
Later in the day, drive up into the mountains for afternoon lunch. Leaving after dark makes the drive back, shall we say interesting, on the winding mountain roads.
Menorca
You will most likely visit here, by landing at
Mahon Airport is where most holiday makers hire their car, to explore the quietest of the three islands.
The port of Mahon is worth a visit as it is a busy place, as fishing boats and ferries from the other islands, make their way around the harbour.
This part of Spain can be rugged, so we advise an SUV type vehicle if you intend to explore all the nooks and crannies.
