About Paros
This popular Greek island, in the middle of the Cyclades (
Circle of Islands) is the second largest, with beaches, hills and villages pulling in the numbers.
Being centrally located in the island group, most island-hoppers will probably come here on their sea-faring travels to the Venetian styled port of Naousa. Stay in a taverna or pension to get the real feel of Greece.
A Paros Scenic DriveThe best drive on Paros Island starts in Parikia, the main port town, and heads south toward Aliki. Leaving Parikia, the road follows the coast with views of the Aegean Sea and passes through small villages like Pounta, which is the ferry point to Antiparos. The terrain is mostly flat with stretches of farmland, olive groves, and low hills. Reaching Aliki, the village offers a quiet beach and a few tavernas by the water. From Aliki, the drive can continue inland toward Lefkes, a traditional village set in the hills. The road climbs gradually and offers views of the island and sea in the distance.
Lefkes is known for its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, and quiet atmosphere. From there, the drive can loop north toward Naousa, passing through Prodromos and Marmara. This section of the route is more rural, with fewer cars and open views. Naousa is a lively town with a small harbor, restaurants, and shops. The final stretch back to Parikia completes the loop and passes beaches like Kolymbithres and Monastiri.

Roads on Paros are paved and easy to follow. Traffic is light outside the peak summer months, and signs are clear. The full loop can be done in a few hours, but stopping along the way makes it a full-day trip. The route from Parikia to Aliki, Lefkes, Naousa, and back offers the most variety in scenery and access to both coast and inland villages.
