More on Bergen Car Hire
We display car hire rates with both national and local suppliers. If you are arriving here any time soon, plan which mode of transportation you want to use to get you to the city centre. Your choices are include buses, taxis and a rental car. There are buses departing thrice every hour during the weekdays. The buses could take you to the city centre or the Radisson Hotels in Bryggen, or Nogre. Check for the shuttle service.
CDW Excess Reduction & Cover
Like most car hire, there will be CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) which is an excess amount of around GBP500 (can vary on vehicle size), and this will be held against your credit card, for any possible internal, or external, damage to your vehicle. To reduce the risk of being charged, you have two options:- (1) reduce the amount (usually to zero), by paying extra insurance on arrival, or (2) take out excess insurance cover but the excess amount will still be held against your card. Excess insurance does also offer other benefits, and either an annual or single trip cover is recommended.

About Bergen
While in Bergen, visit the major attractions, such as the Bergen Aquarium, the Fantoff Stave Church, and the Haakona Hall. These three are relatively near each other, so you will not miss them. Take the short ride to Flien Mountain and gaze out at the mountains, the fjords and the sea. On the way back stop off at the Bergen Fish Market which will bring you back you back to life with a jolt. There are others worth checking out. You can drop by the Fresco Hall, and it also serves as the tourist information centre in the area.
