About Menton

You may find yourself being a 'right lemon', for going here, but then you would not be out of place, as this is the Lemon Festival Capital of the World.

It is quite close to Italy, and it's slightly different climate to the others along the coast, made it an ideal place for those of yesteryear, to use as a spa and recover from illness. However, as the local cemetery will testify, many well known foreigners did not get better.

Still, as the old town is practically car-free, all the walking should make you feel better and hopefully not worse.

One way rentals can be done, so if coming from Nice, Monaco, or Venice or elsewhere, then, depending on your length of stay, even with the extra one ways fee, you should check if better to keep car for whole trip (this is usually the case), or split booking into two, and see if saves money.
