About Lesvos/Lesbos/Mytilene
This Greek island, known by three different names, continues to draw in many a tourist, due to the allure of the surrounding North Agean Sea.
The capital is Mytilene, which can also be spelt
Mitilini. What makes the island distinctive, is the two interior lake-looking gulfs, that are open to the sea, and give the island something of a fig leaf look.
