You can make changes for fee and cancellation, as long as cancel within the agreed time frames. You can book your vehicle now with a small deposit and then pay the balance just five days before collection, or sooner if prefer.

Laos Scenic Driving

The best drive in Laos begins in Luang Prabang and heads south toward Vang Vieng and then on to Vientiane. Leaving Luang Prabang, the road climbs through forested hills and offers wide views of valleys and rivers. The terrain is mountainous, and the route includes sharp turns and steep sections. Along the way, small villages and roadside stalls give a glimpse into local life. The drive to Vang Vieng takes about five hours and passes through some of the most scenic parts of northern Laos.

Vang Vieng sits by the Nam Song River and is surrounded by limestone cliffs and green fields. The town is known for outdoor activities, but the drive itself is a highlight. From Vang Vieng, the road continues south to Vientiane, the capital. This section is flatter and faster, with stretches of farmland and quiet towns. The full drive from Luang Prabang to Vientiane takes about ten hours, but breaking it into two parts makes it more manageable.

Road conditions have improved in recent years, especially with the new expressway between Vang Vieng and Vientiane. The older mountain road between Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng is slower but more scenic. Fuel stations are available, and traffic is light outside urban areas. The route from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng to Vientiane is the most complete drive in Laos, offering a mix of nature, culture, and local life.

The national sport is kick boxing and goes by the name of Muay Lao, but like most places, football is the most played sport.

Lao is the official language, but if you have a smattering of Thai, then you should also be able to make yourself understood.
