This well known, and fought over North Yorkshire city is well known for it;s dominant cathedral. The city all started with the Romans, and then the Vikings had a fair bit of influence.

Some of the walls of the city date back to the Romans, but there is architecture from ages all the way since then, which makes it a fascinating city to walk around and spend time in.

The football and rugby teams usually play in the lower professional leagues, and there are plenty of other sports.
