About Tenerife South Airport

Tenerife has two airports, the North and South Airport. The Tenerife South Airport used to be called South Reina Sofia and has accommodated almost over a hundred million passengers since it was first opened.

The airport is a long 60 kilometer ride to Santa Cruz. To get there, take the TF-1 Highway to the south and follow the road signs.

Terrific Scenic Tenerife Drives

One of the most breathtaking drives in Tenerife is through Teide National Park. Taxis and buses are the most common public transportation of choice around here. Bus 341 could take you to the Santa Cruz station located at the La Avenida Martima.

Two other bus routes are available and they could take you to Puerto de la Cruz and Los Cristianos respectively. If you would like to take the taxi, you can find them just in front of the arrivals area.
