Cheaper car rental in Ireland

Why not hire a car and whizz past these jagged rocks? Ballard Road, which runs east to the cliffs, travels north past Lough North, then onto Doolin a picture-perfect coastal village with traditional Irish pubs.
Ireland

In total, there are 8km of cliffs that are waiting to be explored by car. This is, for sure, one of the most scenic drives on the Emerald Isle.

Ideas on where to visit in Ireland

Ireland brims with misty landscapes, jagged rocks, and cozy coastal towns, making it one of the best places in the world to go for a long drive. So, this summer, pack up your belongings, hire a car and experience the great Irish outdoors. Here are three places that you need to see when you rent a vehicle in Ireland.

Cliffs of Moher

Where? Burren region, County Clare
Located at the southwestern tip of the Burren region in County Clare, the Cliffs of Moher jut out from the landscape and loom 390 meters over the Atlantic Ocean. Named Ireland's top natural tourist attraction, these huge chunks of rock have seduced holidaymakers since the 19th century.

Tourists make their way to the tower at the top of the cliffs, which provide picturesque panoramas. From here, look out at the Aran Islands in Galway Bay, Loop Head to the south, or the stunning mountains in the distance: Maumturks and Twelve Pins.

Powerscourt Estate

Where? Enniskerry, County Wicklow
Powerscourt Estate is a traditional Irish manor house, famous for its lavishly landscaped gardens and stunning facade. The mansion spans 19 hectares of land and features themed gardens, waterfalls and a golf club.

The house is steeped in history and was opened in 1741. It has been owned by the Slazenger family who operated the Slazenger sportswear brand.

The roads that surround the estate twist and turn, passing through patchworks of forests. This is a beautiful drive that takes in some of the best countryside in the whole of County Wicklow. Why not stop for a picnic? Or find a quiet spot to sit by your car and watch the world go by?

Ring of Kerry

Country Kerry
Frequently cited as one of the most breathtaking road journeys in the world, the Ring of Kerry is a 179km-long route that takes in beautiful beaches, mountains and much more.

This is, arguably, the best way to experience southwestern Ireland. Pass through charming towns like Waterville, Glenbeigh, and Cahersiveen, overlook the Atlantic Ocean from your vehicle or stop off for lunch at one of the roadside gastropubs.

Watch out for famous landmarks like Ladies View, a stunning panorama that overlooks mountains and green hills. You can travel around the Ring of Kerry in a day and see all the sights. Just don't forget to bring a camera with you!

These three places are best explored by car. When you hire a vehicle, you see more of Ireland in a quicker time frame and create lifelong memories.
