About Cairns Airport

Cairns Airport serves as gateway to the Queensland and the fantastic Barrier Reef region of Australia. Cairns comprises of two terminals. One for domestic flights and the other reserved for international flights. Both are connected by walkways.

Cairns Airport is is the seventh busiest airport in all of Australia. It lies seven kilometers from the city centre, right between Trinity Bay and Mount Whitfield.

The shops are located in the departure lounges of both terminals, and offer a wide selection of goods including local aboriginal craft and surf wear. Both terminals have a good choice of eateries and cafes. The airport is wheelchair friendly with lifts, ramps easy access toilets and reserved parking.

The bus could take you to the Northern Beaches or Palm Cove. Just check out the Australian Coach Bus Line which operates at the airport. This bus line could also take you to Port Douglas or Cape Tribulation.
