When in Aruba - Taxis do not have meters, but a list pf government controlled prices. Check before starting off. Most of the resorts, with beaches, are on the leeward side of the island, where there are miles and miles of white sandy beaches.
However, as a contrast, the windward side offers more rugged beaches, with limestone coves and a more weathered look.
Weather in Aruba - Aruba will mainly be sunny with showers and thunderstorms to the end of May. The year round average is 30C, with most days consisting of blue skies, and cooling trade breezes. Aruba only has a small chance of being affected in hurricane season.

The Tumba Musical Contest is not to be missed. February sees the Carnival Queens being crowned for all ages as well as lots of carnivals.
