The main industries of Swaziland are forestry, mining, and agriculture. A good part of its GDP is generated from manufacturing sugar-related products and textiles. The major products for export of Swaziland is raw sugar beet and cane.
Brief Swazi History - Human activity in Swaziland started as early as the Stone Age. However, it is during the 15th century when the Bantu Tribes farmed and settled in the area. Mswati I was the first king of Swaziland and it is from him that the nation derived its name.
It became an autonomous region under the British rule of the 19th century. However, they were duly granted their independence in 1881.
