San Diego Road Trip

Take that 'bucket list' drive along the Pacific Coast Highway which includes views of beaches cliffs and oceanfront communities from La Jolla to Del Mar. Another notable route is the drive through Cabrillo National Monument which provides panoramic views of San Diego Bay and the downtown skyline.

The Sunrise Highway east of the city offers a mountain drive through the Laguna Mountains with overlooks of the desert floor and seasonal wildflowers. The drive along Harbor Drive and North Harbor Drive connects downtown San Diego to Point Loma and includes waterfront parks and marinas.

Three major annual events in San Diego include Comic Con International held each July at the San Diego Convention Center which is the largest pop culture convention in the United States.

The San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival takes place each November and features culinary experiences wine tastings and chef demonstrations along the waterfront. The San Diego County Fair occurs each summer at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and includes concerts exhibits rides and agricultural competitions.
