This is the capital city of Chile and home to about seven million people. Has nice summer and winter weather, where you can sunbathe and ski in close proximity. Then you can visit the vineyards for some wine tasting.

If going for a river cruise is up your alley, then as the Rio Mapocho cuts the town in two, you can hop on boat and see the sights.

Santiago Airport has the IATA code of SCL. Getting from the airport by public transport could be an issue, so unless hiring a car check before flying.
