About Casablanca Airport

Casablanca, Mohammed V Airport is conveniently situated 25km's south of Casablanca. World War II resulted in the Americans building a new airport, to supply it's front line in its war effort to overcome the German African front, and was originally named Berrechid Airfield.

A taxi service operates outside the arrivals hall. Taxis fall into two categories, grands taxis (white colour) and petit taxis (red colour) that are only allowed to drive in the city. The white taxis are more expensive with an approximate cost of 250 dirham to downtown Casablanca.

A shuttle train service connects the airport to Casablanca port more information available at the tourist information desk inside arrivals. As expected banks with bureau de change facility, ATM's and a post office, are all available within the terminal building.
