About Lagos
Lagos, the one time capital of the Algarve, is situated on the warm south coast of Portugal.
The region is dotted with small villages, each one offering the tourist a warm welcome.
The beaches stretch for miles, with soft, sugary sand. Further inland the landscape is stunning
For privacy, drive your hire car south of the city, towards the Ponte de Piedade Lighthouse. This coastal region is home to many small coves and inlets, letting you sunbath in private and explore the many caves, stacks and grottos.
The west coast is ideal for surfing in the Atlantic rollers. Surf boards may be hired locally. Scuba diving is also available, but you will need to show your PADI membership card.

Most tourist arrive into Faro Airport and either connect by bus or car rental to their resort.
Global Positioning Systems are available, as an optional extra, to help to steer you car hire to its destination.
If travelling by hire car from Faro, then follow the signs for the Via do Infante or A22 motorway. If heading towards Portimao, this will bring you directly into Lagos.

The pick up was a joke,& took 1/2 hour longer than normal due to lack of staff etc Car: The car was in poor condition , not clean & it had bearly enough fuel to get me to my destination ( only 70k away) !!!! I will avoid Airauto in future & tell my friends to do the same |

They meet you at departures but if you are going to arrive at a different time then you must ring them and let them know. No real parking restrictions at departures so no problem if you are a little early and have to wait. Car: Mitsubishi Colt Automatic - Clean, well prepared and reliable. |
