Flat tires are a common occurrence when driving in Namibia so do brush up on your wheel changing skills. Always ensure you have at lest one spare tire, an extra spare can also be requested if renting with National at a small additional cost .
If driving take care when following map routes and note down land marks. If you do get lost it is usually best to drive back to the last land mark and restart from there.
